Candol Festival
2008年8月 Ubonrachatani ろうそく祭り
友人に誘われてウボンラチャタニーの有名なろうそく祭りに行ってきた。
急に決めたので当日の午後の飛行機でパレードには間に合わず、到着したろうそくの山車を見た。１年がかりで何人もの共同作業で創るらしい。全体的にはリアリズムに走っている事で却っておもしろくなくなっているように思った。
イサーンはやっぱり暑かった。
Aug.2008 Candol Festival in Ubonrachatani
A fiend of mine has invited me to go to Candol festival in Ubonrachatani just a week before the day. So we have arrived in the afternoon of the day after the parade. But fortunately we had gotten to see the candol works on the floats that were made through a year by many people’s collaboration. I thought that the works might have been missing some attractions by the too much effort for the realistic expression.
